When I lived in an apartment house there were many times I would gag, going up the stairs,to have my dinner. But by that time I reach the 6th floor I lost my appetite.

oops... I may have been one of those people. I broiled a steak the other day and some of the grease splattered up on the coils which burned, creating a ton of smoke and a very awful smell. Although, I would rather have the smell of burnt food than cheap a** air freshener. I have also noticed that cabbage smells funky when you cook it.

YES!!! When we lived in our apartment there was a lady down the hall who cooked the grossest smelling food! I think it was supposed to be some type of fish. Boy am I glad I don't have to smell that anymore!

LOL. I live in a house and get the "smells" from our neighbors at least 3-4 times a week. Don't know what it is but man it smells.

lmao! when I lived in an apartment building I went to put my coat up in the hallway closet I swore that I smelled porkchops from my downstairs neighbors. Only when I opened that closet door did I smell porkchops though.

I used to live in one of those places and we had to put towels down at the front door, PEW! it smelled so rotten. My husband said it was the Cambodian neighbors cooking rotten cabbage with some type of meat. Puke!

prolly some kind of strong smelling meat like fish. if they use a lot of spices in their cooking it could also smell bad.

Yes they were cooking Indian food,smelt real bad like they were cremating one of the family as well.
