Great dogs, but do shed constantly, and they bark at night..It is in their breeding to be night watchers, so they wake up and bark a few times, about every 20-30 minutes, all night long..just to tell the wolves that there is a big dog on duty.Ours didn't like being indoors much.

They are usually great dogs, but can be aloof with strangers (or a new family). They can also be quite destructive if they do not have enough mental activity, and difficult to train since they are strong willed dogs bred to think for themselves.
Check out this website, it has some good information:

they can be very nice dogs...and ur taking on two so i hope u plan on lots of walks.. and lots of training. they will need to be trained apart as well as together. they'llbe fine in the house ...and if u have never trained a good dog before u may have to see about trainer. and if u have other pets make sure u take the new dogs from a nice long walk before they meet.

good luck

They are very gentle working dogs that are best used for sheep and goat herding. I would not recommend them as a house dog as they are extremely hard to keep clean and need to be walked a long distance every day. given a choice they will spend their lives with the sheep and goats and sleep in the barn with them.

Here, here with Robyn T. I used to have one, Rowsby Woof. Absolutely loveable, kind, loyal ... but not too swift in the upstairs department the first 2 years. Be loving and understanding. Congratulations, you lucky duck.

They are very loveable and great family dogs. they do need a little extra attention as most big dogs do regarding their health. if you do get these dogs make sure that you get their back and hips checked out regularly.

aww! i love them. my friend has one and he is great. a big lover. although her dog would never hurt a fly and is actually scared of everything (even my 10lbs. dog) i bet no body would ever try to break into her house or get in her yard. that dog is huge. have fun, but be prepared to deal with large amounts of shedding and lots of big wet dog kisses♥
