I want to be popular. Its not that I want to own the school, I just want to have cooler freinds and hang out with the cute guys and actually have a social life. I have read like 100 guides on how to become popular in all, they all say the same things.
1.Be clean, smell good, have long shiny hair
2.Be outgoing and funny
3.Be and attractive person, inside and out
4.Be confident
5.Be fit, in shape
6.Be nice to everyone
Not to sound conceited or anything but I am all of those things, so what else can I do? I mean, all the girls who are like this are popular already, so why am I not?

Being popular is irrelevant once you get out of high school. The people I went to school with who were super popular are now all losers who either still live at home or are making minimum wage and living in crappy apartments.
Just be yourself...study hard, make friends with people that have the same interests as you, and you'll end up on top. High school is not real life...it's what happens once you get in the real world that makes a difference.

your not pushing toward it enough. no one say's that's the only kinda popular out there! talk to people is a big key. talk to some popular girls and hang out with them start by saying hi! if they are stuck up think about it. do you really want to become that kind of a person?!?!?! NO! if they are nice popular girls go for it! but being popular isn't everything. don't let it go to your head! all of it will end sometime so treat it with care. and be nice to EVERYONE when your popular! don't just be nice to the popular girls and jocks. say hi and a good morning to poeple in th halls. and people will think. wow. she's popular but she's still nice! let your true self shine! if you do it right everyone will love you but don't hide in a corner. let's bottle the happy essence of that shine! confidence girl! use it!

What kind of books are you reading?? This list is ridiculous! None of this will make any difference after high school. Once you are in college and out in the real world, people actual care about things that matter. Not who has the longest shiniest hair. Geez!

for a while i wanted to be popular, and although i kinda am cause my old old friends are popular and we fixed our friendships, being popular isn't the most important thing. yeah it's great to have hot guy friends, but if your happy with who you are and feel good about yourself, people will notice you and want to get to know you. also, just try to have good relationhips with your friends, maybe they're not popular, but they love you. being popular has it's disadvantages too, so don't try to become popular, just act like YOU and be happy with who you are, and you never know, people might notice you and you could become popular that way, instead of trying to be someone your not.

but seriously its got nothing to do with what you look like... just be a nice person, don't b-itch about your friends behind their backs... and actually be interesting... most people are really really vacuous and boring...
oh, and remember the rule of the empires.... popularity is transient... it doesn't last long, so, is it worth trying at all if you're already happy..
