I thought that I was the only person that had that problem!

When I go to a Doctor they ask if I am allergic to anything. I tell them Aspirin and sometimes the Sun!

I have had this problem (I'm old but good!!!) for 40 years.

It doesn't happen all the time, usually Spring and Summer months.

I will break out, for lack of a better word, "Hives" mostly on my back. Even if I have a T-shirt on the same thing will happen. I get them on my upper arms once in a while.

They are very itchy...but in a short time...they stop itching and just leave spots. After a while, everything is OK and my skin has a blotching (redness) look..

Sometimes, when I drive my car, with my arm exposed to the Sun...that arm will get bumps and itchy.

I thought all kinds of things over the years what may be causing it...I finally concluded it is Ultra Violet Rays.

I just live with it! The Sun's rays are not the best for skin...and people like you and I...cannot tolerate it.

I know it can be embarrassing if you are with others when that happens...

My Doctor did not have an answer.

Hopefully, other answers may have a remedy.

image-sensitivity, that's what you're describing, could be what the medical individuals call "discoid"--meaning that that's led to by way of drugs. in spite of the indisputable fact that, what you describe happening from approximately age 12, is in all probability a reaction to image voltaic. There are various ailment that could reason this. I even have an vehicle-immune ailment noted as Dermatomyositis that's like Muscular Dystrophy and Lupus all rolled into one. i like the wintry climate because of the fact i'm getting to gown like all people else and the sunlight's rays do no longer deliver forth pores and skin rash and muscle soreness. interior the summertime, I slaver sunlight block on each little bit of uncovered pores and skin and don't bypass out for the time of midday while the sunlight is at its greatest. i offered myself a jacket that appears like gauze and protects my pores and skin. I continually positioned on a sunlight hat and sunlight colorings, too. there is particularly little which would be achieved approximately image-sensitivity different than to circumvent exposure. Rearranging interest schedules and the form you run your existence is in all probability going to be the only way which you will stay healthy. you may desire to attempt to get a job with a good medical well being coverage equipment!

it is prickly heat rash. Prickly heat is treated with gentle cleansing of the skin. Use Stri-Dex Acne Medicated Sensitive Skin Pads; the salicylic acid helps to unplug the pores. Hydrocortisone cream (not ointment) can help with itching. Sometimes antihistamines are needed for the itching (and sleep). If the rash is infected, antibiotics may also be needed. With treatment, prickly heat should disappear within 2 or 3 days.

You have a mild allergy to the sun. Some people have it so severely they have to stay indoors their whole lives.

It also means you have a higher chance of getting skin cancer. So stay out of the sun! And get to a dr. Can't you get medicare or something?
