Well I want to dye my hair, and she refuses to let me dye my hair. My mom isn't bad, or mean really, but she won't let me dye my hair because "I bug her". Not a really good reason to not let me dye my hair. I don't do drugs, smoke, or drink, and I get good grades. A-B-C. What should I say to change her mind?

sit down and write out the reasons you want to dye your hair. is it to fit in, to be different, to look goth, it might be that she doesn't know what your reasons are and because you haven't been clear about this she thinks you are just bugging her. I don't know how old you are but i think if you are in high school you would be mature enough to do it. she may think that you want it done at a salon and that is expensive or that you will not do it right, ask her to help you, or that you will make a mess, dye doesn't come off the paint on your walls or she is just against dying hair in general. if you give her clear reasons and listen to what she says with out begging or whining see if you can get a real reason out of her or a date or age she thinks is ok to start dying your hair. remember dying you hair is hard on your hair if your hair is already in bad condition you don't want to do it.

You should be happy and accept the way you look. Moms usually have good reasons for saying all the no's even if they are not explained. Maybe she wants you to accept you who are. Mabye she is concern about damage to your hair. Mabye she wants to not to value appearance so much. Or maybe it is just that she loves you the way you are and cannot fathom why you would want to change something like hair color.
Best thing is to have some quality Mom time and discuss with her why you want to dye your hair. Maybe if you use reason she will understand.

She probably doesn't want you to dye it because it will ruin your hair. Ask her if she's willing to let you use Henna, It's a natural hair dye that Egyptians used to use. You could find it a natural stores. It is not as artificial looking as all your friends have but you could maybe meet your mom half ways.

This may not be a very great suggestion but this is the only one I really can think of. Take pictures of yourself, ok? No, not nude. Take pictures of yourself "smoking weed", "killing someone", "kissing another girl". Even make up a fake application for a strip club on the computer and show it to her. Just as she's on the brink of having a nervous breakdown just smile and say, "See mom? Could be worse..."

what color did you have in mind?? A-B-C's to me are not good grades. Why don't you try to bring up your grades and then ask her.
