Well it depends on the kind of flat iron you bought and the product you use. First of all, I would suggest NOT washing your hair too often. Rinse it in the shower but don't use shampoo. Then use a conditioner if you need- especially one like Redken Smooth Down or Matrix Sleek Look. Don't use the straight iron too close to your roots or you will bend them away from your scalp and it will give you that poofy look. Also spray a little Static Guard in your hair to keep flyaways down.

I am the EXACT same way, except for having course hair. Sometimes a better, more expensive flat iron works. Whatever you do, don't use your flat iron everyday. Another thing is, A girl that i know has suck thick, wavy, poofy hair, that she literally irons her hair! With a clothing iron. of course her mom does it, but it REALLY works! just dont do it too hot. I have tried Sunsilk forever! it DOES NOT work! especially not on people like us!

ok we are going to condition you hair like it has never been softer before. You don't need anything expensive. though would perfer you used dove shampoo and ausi conditioner. you will need to buy a shower cap if you dol't have one Anyway. take a shower and wash your hair and rinse. Then put the conditioner in but do not wash it out. squeeze as much water out as you can. put on top of your head and cover with shower cap. sleep on towel over night and rinse out the next morning. you can use any conditioner. You may want to do this 1 time per week for a few weeks. and make sure you have your ends trimmed every 6 months. promise you will love it or your money back!!! free advise

Sunsilk doesn't work. Your hair sounds like mine. Use Matrix Biolage Smoothing Serum that you can purchase in salons or at Target. I use Jilbere Titanium flat iron. It's one of the only ones that heat up high enough to make my hair totally straight like Asian hair. Try the Smoothing Serum with your current iron. If you don't like the results, purchase the Jilbere flat iron.

I have the same problem.
You may have already tried this, but I separate my hair in 5 sections. I straighten the bottom layer first and then the next until I am done. This way you are sure to have straightened all of your hair. Otherwise it is too hard, because you have hair everywhere and it is hard to get all of it.

Good Luck, LeLe

right here is what I do... Wash your hair purely each and every 2 to 3 days (if going and not employing a bathtub that long bothers you, positioned your hair up and wash your self yet no longer your hair...that's what I do). After shampooing and rinsing, squeeze each and all the water out of your hair and put in some deep conditioner (i opt to advise Aussie deep conditioner) and paintings it in. pass away it in for 3-5 minutes and rinse it out. once you get out of the bathe, brush your hair thoroughly and you'd be conscious that that's grow to be fairly mushy. whilst it dries (AIR DRY it, blow dryers are only homicide to dry hair, so it fairly is beneficial to bathe your hair at nighttime and wait 'til morning to straighten it), straighten it in layers (and take a million-inch products of hair once you do). pass slowly once you straighten, you would be able to ought to pass over some aspects better than as quickly as to get it super and right now. whilst that's all striaght, hairspray it gently, and you're performed!
