Support the troops, not always the policies that put them where they are.
I live and listen to our troops everyday. Some believe in the war, while others do not. The one thing that they all agree on though, is that they all took an oath to defend our great nation, whether at home or abroad, and that is what they're over here doing.
If you still think you need a reason. Turn off CNN, lift your butt off the couch, make a few phone calls to some contractors, and you too can be over here. Then you will see first hand why we should all support OUR American fighting men and woman.

It's all big talk really. If everyone was really honest, they would admit that they 'support' the troops because everyone else says they do. but of course the families and friends of our troops 'support' them. They also want them to come home in one piece. For the remainder, most are simply glad that they have someone to fight this so-called war. After all, who would NOT support our troops as long as they know THEY don't have to go. (and most who say they would "go" are lying or are too old anyway...)

I think some people are just to harsh on our troops because their just doing their jobs everyday like you and me. So I think some people need to stop and think before they go putting our troops down because their job isn't anything like ours working from 9-5 or 8hrs of the day they have to work 12 hours or more everyday. So I think some people need to look at it in a different point of view.

It's like the old adage about shooting the messenger.
The troops are doing their job. They didn't pick the assignment.
So, you can easily support the people who are doing their job while still disagreeing with the orders they are being given.
One has nothing to do with the other.
So, I really can't think of any reason to blame the troops for doing their job.

One shouldn't HAVE TO support the troops (free country, ironically because of the troops for all you troop haters) but you are encouraged to give at least vocal support.

It is a lot easier to be a critic.
I disagree with it, because it is like Kerry said. They are pretty much young and dumb. I feel sorry for them because of that.
It is like not supporting kids from taking drugs.
Yeah, they say it is all that, but you know better.
So, what will you do? Not support the troops and become some anti fun guy or support the troops and be all that?
It is not something you like to do, it is something you have to do for their benefit.
I don't know....
If they want to go out and die, then so be it.
I wish I was a hero and not online and be victim to these questions.

Wait, you can't think of a reason not to support our troops, so you come here to find one rather than considering that there's nothing wrong with them?
WOW. Just wow.

US citizens should NEVER not support the troops. If you don't like the policy, spit on the president or the congressman/senator of your choice, or work to get them voted out of office. But NEVER fail to support the troops.
