Generally, the minimum for women should be 1200, and the minimum for men should be 1500. Note that I said generally. There is no maximum amount unless you don't want to gain weight. Your calorie intake may vary by your age, your height, your weight, and how active you are.

as long as you eat healthy you don't need to worry about the calories.

a person on a diet usually should eat about 1100- 1200 to keep your self from going in to survival mode, a person that is not trying to gain weight or muscle should eat about 2000- 2500 depending on how their metabolism works
