The prescription said take one pill, twice a day. I took 5. Lately when I eat, I start to get an upset stomach and my large intestine along the left side of my hip starts to hurt…are the two related in any way?

Sounds like you have damaged something inside of you by taking more meds than you were supposed to. It sounds like some sort of ulcer so you should probly go to the doctor immediately.

depends what you took.
The end effect may range from an upset bowel, through stomach ulcers to a liver failure- meaning a dead you.
best call a Poison Centre or the nearest Emergency Room in a hospital and tell them what you took, and how much. Then DO AS YOU ARE TOLD

The two are probably not related. It is rare that the FDA will allow a drug on the market where the Effective Dose (ED50) and the Lethal Dose (LD1) are close.

The problem is most likely related to what you are eating.

You did not say what type of medication you took to much of but that is besides the point you never take more of any medicine without doctors approval. Go to the er now!!!!!!!
