Because they have to hide behind a front and bluff their way through. Low self-esteem makes him want attention from as many women as possible without the respondsibility of being in a relationship for longer than is convienient for him.
How many guys have I heard lamenting womens mind-games or emotional blackmail? And then the same guys engage in game playing themselves, but wouldn't own up to it. If a guy is a player, he's 'the man' but if a girl is in several casual relationships within a short time period she gets a negative label of being promiscous even if she doesn't sleep with any of the guys.
So I think they do it to cover their insecurites and because there isn't much social backlash for them.

because there guys and they think with one thing but the truth of it is its easier to play guys then for them to play females we know all there games and they cant be slick even when they try there hardest least i can see through all the games and I'm sure I'm not the only one

I used to but I quickly learned that women are the ultimate take no prisoners kinda players.

I dont know, but I've definetly played my fair share of guys, I think its only fair since they do it all the time. guess they need to realize we can do it too.
