My computer is sluggish. I have a decent connection to the internet (DSL) but the computer still runs slowly. I want to clean it up and make it run more smoothly, and faster. I have very little patience sometimes and just wish the computer would move a little faster than a snail. Thanks all!!

I usually do a clean install of my operating system. If you do consider adding UBUNTU (or XUBUNTU if your computer has less than 256MB of RAM).
It's a free, reliable and up to date operating system.
You can explore it from the "LIVE CD".
It's easy to install and use. You can dual boot it with other operating systems.
Once you have it installed, you gain access to thousands of free programs created by the open source community. There is excellent support - see the WIKI starter guide, and the Linux forums.
Always back up your data before making changes to your computer.

To solve your problem you could find any program you need on Download.com. That's where I found my solution to the same problem you have. With this place you can find a program you want, to help you improve your computer's performance. Personally I use Window Washer, and CCleaner to clean my computer up.
