Women are often very subtle and therefore don't always fully express what they really mean.

When a man asks a woman out for a first date, how can we recognize the difference between:

(a) no means = "No, thanks. I'm not interested. Please leave me alone and don't ever ask me again."

(b) no means = "No, thanks, I'm not interested right now, but I hope you will ask me again another time."

Please bear in mind that I am talking about a respectful, mature, polite situation in both "a" and "b" and nothing creepy. Just because they illustrate negative responses doesn't mean it is a *bad* situation. For example situation "a" could be she thinks he is a decent guy but he just isn't her type and feels no attraction towards him. Situation "b" could be she is interested but she's got her hands full with stuff that she might not want to talk about, e.g. work, college, kids, family, etc.

Watch her eye contact, body positioning. Is she facing towards you or away? If she's still facing towards you after you've asked...there is some interest. If she is facing away...she is maybe hoping you will continue on your way and leave her alone.

Eye contact . . . Sparkling eyes at you or a 'dead fish' look in her eyes ? Keeps looking towards you or looks boringly away ?

Face...smile...eyes...They all speak a 'language' that she may be too nervous or polite to express verbally.

Does she stay in your presence or move away. Stay in your presence...obvious interest. Moves away...that speaks for itself.

If you're on the phone and you ask her out...if she expresses no . . . Then thank her and ask if maybe you might ask her again some other time. After this...change the subject and engage in some other type of pleasant conversation. If she stays on the phone to talk with you...that is an indicator that there might be interest...If she seems to not to enjoy your conversation or tries to get off the phone...again...that speaks for itself.

Basically...if she chooses to stay in your presence (in person or on the phone) that is a positive indicator.

I've heard so much that us women frustrate you guys. Sorry about that. It's not all intentional...it's just our way...just as you guys have your ways that frustrate us. Such is life.

Keep out there and keep approaching the ladies...The right one is out there. I've at times experienced noticing that a man shows a visual interest that he might want to approach me...and I'd noticed him in return, smiled, hoped that he'd approach...yet he did'nt. So, off we go our separate ways. And...I'm a great woman. Such is life.

Keep out there. Hope what I shared here in insightful.

LOL holding her hand would be nice and take it slow no need to rush anything. If you are looking for a serious relationship let her know. You all should discuss this because you both want to be on the same page

I'm afraid "No" always means A. If a woman would like you to "check back later," so to speak, she'll say so, because women don't like to let one get off the hook. I'm afraid you'll just have to take "No" for "No."

Just ask directly: "So do you mean no as in never... or do you mean no as in not right now?"

That is the only way you will know for certain.
