Does anyone know which one is right? " Ideas are far more powerful than guns, we don't let our people have guns, why should we let them have ideas?" or " Ideas are far mor powerful than guns, we wouldn't let our enemies have guns, why would we let them have ideas?" Joseph Stalin said one of them, I just don't know which one is right. Do you know?

Your first one is right. The exact quote is "Ideas are more powerful than guns. We don't let our people have guns. Why should we let them have ideas?"

Joseph Stalin (1879 - 1953) Ideas are far more powerful than guns. We don't allow our enemies to have guns, why should we allow them to have ideas?

It has to be the first one, since he had no say in whether his enemies had guns or not.

A better known quote is one by the famous French philosopher, Voltaire, showing why a government does not want its citizens to think for themselves or have ideas that might question its dictates, says something similar. "The pen is mightier than the sword."

(He was imprisoned in the Bastille several times, for writing and distributing his ideas!)
