Hi, I'm gonna be making a cheesecake and am thinking of maybe topping it with strawberries. I have the mix for the plain cheesecake and I have some fresh strawberries at home. Can someone give me an easy recipe for a strawberry topping for the cheesecake?

I assume you want a recipe for the strawberry topping, although you actually asked for the topping.

Wash and slice 4 cups of strawberries.
Put in a blender with two cups of honey.

Blend until you have a puree. Pour into a pitcher.

Serve the cheesecake and pour the puree over the cheesecake. This makes a nice presentation. Your guests will love it and don't be surprised if they don't shout, "Hip Hip Puree.

This is a raspberry topping, but you can easily subsitute strawberries for the raspberries.

Warm Raspberry Muscat Sauce
This sauce is delicious poured over ice cream or cheesecake!

3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
1/4 cup Muscat wine
pinch of cinnamon
1 cup of raspberries
1. Melt 2 tablespoons of the butter in a skillet.
2. Add brown sugar and stir occasionally over medium heat until dissolved.
3.Stir in the Muscat and cinnamon and boil for 1 minute. 4. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the remaining butter.
5. Mix in the raspberries and let cool slightly before serving over ice cream or cheesecake.

You can double or quad this recipe

Supreme Strawberry Topping

INGREDIENTS:
1 pint strawberries, cleaned and stemmed
1/3 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

DIRECTIONS:
Cut about 1/3 of the strawberries in half. In a saucepan over medium high heat, combine strawberries, sugar and vanilla. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. In a blender, puree about 1/3 of sauce, then mix back into remainder. Store in refrigerator.

You have three options as I see it. First like the first person said hulled with or without jelly. Second, mash strawberries with granulated sugar and beat the mixture to your desired consistency (great for shortcake too). Finally make a simple syrup, dice up strawberies and reduce to make your own strawberry syrup.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
DIRECTIONS
In a medium saucepan combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring, until sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool.

Get some of the strawberry "gel" stuff that they sell in the fruit section of the grocery store. mix it with your fresh berries and a squirt of whipped cream.
