If the hair is mostly brown, i'd name it Brownie. If it is mostly black name it Lucy, but maybe you can decide a different name that both of you will like, and when a new cat comes around that you want keep name it Lucy!!!

brownie, you gotta understand your husband, most guys don't identify with female animals, it's bad enough it's a female and on top of that it has to have a female name?, he wants to feel related to the cat and if you name her Lucy in his mind , even if he doesn't realize it it might be too feminine for him, the cat will instantly become female, your cat, not his. Let him choose the cat's name, he will feel more related to the animal. I did that with my cat- husband relationship, my husband, a declared cat hater, loves her to death, she's his cat, see?.

Cats are a girl thing, at least that's true for a lot of men so give hubby an oportunity to bond.

Go with Brownie. Lucy is a human name and should be reserved for human babies.

BTW - You're hot. How 'bout you ditch that cat and come make out with me?

Hi well, you should name your cat a name that suits her but make it easy. Names that end in y are really goos. Does she have a nice meow? Then name her after a composer. Does she like water? Name her after a swimmer. Is she naughty? Name her after a vilan. Hope this helps!!
