I recently bought all leather boots for my BDU's. How is the proper way to blouse them with the pants? Do you simply tuck the pants into the boots...or is there more that must be done. Any answer will be greatly appreciated.

Guaranteed that the answer with a valid source will be promptly chosen best answer.

Thanks for any help.

Many of the BDU type pants have a blousing band built into the pant leg. You tie the band around your ankle then blouse the pant leg over the band. They also sell blousing bands at clothing sales. They are elastic bands with hooks at the ends. You strap that around your ankle, fold the end of the pant leg down, around and up inside the band and finish the blouse on the outside.

DO NOT tuck the pant leg into the top of the boot. That is a good way to cause a pressure sore on your ankle where the add material of the pant leg makes a tight spot in the boot.

Use blousing bands, little green elastic bands that hook togehter around your leg at the top of the boot. Tuck your pants legs under that. You can get blousing bands at the clothing sales store or from Brigade Quartermasters or US Cavalry on the Internet.

Air Force uniform regulations specifically PROHIBIT the legs of your pants being tucked into your boots. The regs call for the use of blousing bands instead. Since the CAP mirrors USAF regulations, I'm pretty sure that's the way the CAP regs are written as well.

Talk to your squadron Executive Officer and ask to see a copy of the uniform regulation.

In my day I used a band around my ankle and tucked the BDU under. The bloused pant then rides above the boot
