Muscle is not heavier than fat. Just like a pound of feathers weighs the same as a pound of bricks, a pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat. It is true that muscle is DENSER than fat, so that if you lose 1 pound of fat and gain 1 pound of muscle, you WILL lose inches and reduce your waistline, etc.

Who says its wrong to say muscle weighs more than fat?

Its not wrong, in fact, its true. People who lose fat, but gain muscle will often remain or some times gain weight. However, its a good weight gain.

Because a pound of muscle still weighs the same as a pound of fat.

Muscle is denser than fat and therefore takes up less space....it can be argued we can "weigh" less on the moon because of gravity.....After all a ton weight of feathers weighs the same as a ton weight of lead...lead just takes up less space.....
