ok so i was with this guy for three years and we have now been broke up for about 7 or 8 months... because he cheated on me and is still with the girl he cheated on me with... his new girlfriend is best friends with my cousins girlfriend so my ex and cousin have become quite close. This last weekend my family had a bbq/bonfire and my cousin took his girlfriend and my ex and his new girlfriend went too... is it just me or is that just very disrespectful for my ex to bring his new girlfriend to My families function and is it disrespectful on my cousins part? or am i just blowing things out of proportion?

I think it is akward, but he won't be thinking about how disrespectful it is to you as he is now with someone new, and her feelings are what is important, not yours.

It's harsh, but its true.

I think you may have some residual feelings for him, which is completely natural, since he left you for someone else. I believe, as it is YOUR family and YOUR territory, that you make it clear that you would not be comfortable with him being there.

Just think how lucky you are though - who wants to be with a man who is THAT disrespectful anyway! Count your lucky stars girl.

To me it would be disrespectful, because you never know if there could be possible tension between you, and the new girlfriend?? She might be the type who likes drama, and might want to start some bs with you?? I think you aren't blowing things out of proportion at all.

Your ex did NOTHING wrong.

Your cousin probably didn't do much wrong either.

Move on.
