I say congradulations, you deserve to be very proud of yourself. Keep up the good work. You are giving your child the best gift, being the best mom you can be.

Congrats on the sobriety!

I don't know if my child has really "saved" my life, but I can tell you that I'm a completely different person than I was 9 months ago. Things that were important before, like the career and climbing the ladder at work, just don't seem to be as important. I'd rather spend my weekends home instead of at the office, and I'm so much healthier and happier than I've ever been because of that.

Wow! That's so great for you. You made the choice to clean up for your child. I have heard this from other women who haven't been in good places in their lives, behaving recklessly (mostly because they didn't love themselves) and when they became pregnant they changed their lives around and became super moms and great role models. I've also seen people like this get pregnant and people around her pray and hope that the baby will straighten her out and it doesn't and the poor child suffers. It's also sorta the same thing when a woman gets pregnant by her bfriend or husband hoping that he will miraculously change into a better man/partner as soon as the baby is born. Unfortunately, 9 times out of 10 it doesn't happen that way (ha ha, those are my own statistics). So I believe that it was really your conscious choice to clean up for your angel and be the best parent you can be. You should be really proud of yourself

thank God for you,l will say not really b/c l was not having any problem with my self. even when l started giving birth. the only say is that a child can stop so many past things in our life, like smoking, drinking, drug abuse etc. so if a child should save anyones life? than l will really, really say may God be bless.
