I'm making my science fair experiment and i have to plant fava beans, beans, lentils and peas. But I can't grow the fava beans. The rest of the seeds don't really matter, I means i can plant anything except fava beans (also called horse beans) I have tried growing the dried ones which I think are yellow and the green ones (the fresh ones) Does anyone know how to grow this seed?

Thanks!

P.D. Just another question, how can I accelerate the growing of beans, lentils, or peas?

Fava beans are just as easy to grow as any of the beans or peas you have. You have obviously got some seeds which are no longer viable. You definitely don't want to plant the fresh ones. I'm guessing you got the dry seeds from the supermarket. While these would ordinarily be OK they may have been on the shelf for a long time or stored in a hot wear-house. For whatever reason the seed are not viable, they are sold as food and the producers are not concerned with keeping the germ viable. You should buy some fava bean seed from your Home and Garden Store. A good source of seed is your Southern States Coop. if you have one in your area. You should then have no more problem growing them.
As for your second question, the only way to accelerate the growing of beans is just to take as good care of them as you can. Keep them in a warm place with a lot of light (sunlight if possible) and keep them watered properly without over watering. Good Luck with your project.

zucchini is nice for horses yet could desire to in basic terms settle for in small quantities as a handle. Kyra LOVES zucchini yet I merely supply her somewhat at a time as I heard it is not good for them to have too numerous it.
