i'll say a few things... "how was your day?"
"you need to get ungrounded so we can hang out"
"what was with (so and so) today?"
and he'll either sit there quietly or answere the question and shut up....
but during that awkward silence what am i suposed to say???

Yea its kinda hard to talk to an individual when your only connection is the fact that your boyfriend and girlfriend. The best thing you can do is start to bring the conversation into deeper waters. Unfornatly thou you might find out he isn't a very open or deep fella. Which is really a warning sign to leave the guy alone before you fall to deeply. But it seems its going to be up to you to come up with new things to ask him. New things to relate to him. And find away for him to bring down those brink walls so you can get whats really on his mind.
