For life, if you get another 10 years from now or even 20 it will be considered a second offense.

That depends on whether you are talking about your driving record or your criminal record....
I know in California a DUI stays on your DRVING record for 10 years.
They are usually misdemeanor's on your CRIMINAL record and will stay there forever.
You can however, look into having it expunged off your criminal record. You should take a trip down to your local courthouse and see if they can help you there.
If you're not comfortable going to the courthouse, you can always call an attorney.
Good luck!
I just found this......

It depends on the state. Most fall off within 5-7 years, though in some states, they may never come off. However, you can have them expunged after a certain amount of time, so they won't show on your record.

A DUI's stay on your record and are never removed in Texas but I can't say for sure that every state is the same way. I believe that they do not come off anywhere.

"Five to Seven" years is the usuall average, depends on the state. Call the District attorneys office and they can tell you. Some states, if you complete a drug rehab and perform certain public services, they are reduced to less than DUI.

Depends on State law. I think it is 7 years in California. It was 36 years ago.

Getting a DUI is disgraceful and a huge threat to everyone. People die because some idiot is drunk behind the wheel, I lost a brother to some drunken moron. We have these laws for a very good reason. If you got a DUI, you might as well make friends with it because you'll be together for a very long time.
