As a Christian we are told by the Lord Himself to pick up our cross and follow Him, that the world will hate us because they hate Him. We should count it a blessing to suffer for Christ. Don't let the devil have you stoop down to the level of those who mock Christ. Learn from this site. Use it to learn to turn the other cheek and to love your enemy. Most of those who mock and scoff on here are kids. Kids can be crude and rude. If it gets to be too much, switch over to a different topic for awhile.

... you realize thats insane right?

Why would an Atheist read the bible, go to church and pray?

Have you even been paying attention to the world lately? Lets see.. movements to ban gay marriage, abortion, and stem cell research, attempts to get prayer installed back into the schools, and to get Intelligent Design taught in the science classroom next to the proven principles of Evolution?

And thats only just beginning.

And then there's the fact that Christians knock on my door or follow me down the street preaching.

Why ask why when the answer is obvious?

If Christians could learn to keep their religion to themselves, we'd all get along just fine. But instead, they want to force everyone else to live by what they do and harass the heck out of anyone that doesn't. Most Christians don't even get along with other Christians or they wouldn't try to convert people from one Denomination to another the way some people try to convert Catholics to Protestants and vice versa.

Its very obvious if you think about it.

Well, I'm a Christian and I don't see a problem. There's a few jerks, of course, but not many.

What I do see is that many people--including many Christians--are highly critical of the right-wing groups (aka "fundies," "Christian right,") who claim to be Christian but consitantly express not Christian love but hatred for any and all who differ from them either in religious or political conviction, by nationality or ethnicity.

These groups are not speaking--or, if you believe what they write, acting--as Christ taught. They deserve every bit of criticism they get--and more.

Unfortunately, there are also people who lumb thes people toghether with the majority of real Christians. So sometimes we do see comments that are directed generally at Christians, even though they should properly be directed only to these cult-like groups.

I have said over and over and over. I dont hate christians. I dont hate God. Have I ever threatened any of you with eternal fire if you dont become an atheist? I do not believe I am even rude! I am a smart a** sometimes, but I do it to make people laugh, not to hurt.

Isayah 65:2-5—
2 I have spread out My hands all the day to a rebellious people, who walk in a way which is not right, after their own thoughts; devices;
3 A people who act defiantly against Me continually to My face; who sacrifice in gardens, and burn incense on altars of brick;
4 Who assemble and spend the night keeping memorials for the dead (Halloween), WHO EAT SWINE'S FLESH, and the broth of abominable things; unclean foods, is in their vessels,
5 Who say; Stand by yourself! Do not come near me, for I am holier than you! These are a smoke in My nostrils, a fire that burns all the day.

brother, I think you need to read your bible. if you eat swine's flesh and practice the breaking of any of the 613 Laws of Yahweh, you are sadly deceived.

Hate is a strong word. I dislike some not all Christians. I dislike the Fundamentalist/Evangelical Conservative types who go around spitting out nothing but venow and negativity and who judge and condemn everybody else.

if your not in the christian club than your treated like a third rate citizen. which doesn't seem very christian. nice Christians are few and far between but are great people if there is a heaven i hope they get in and not the ones who are in it for selfish reasons!

I don't hate Christians. I am appalled by hypocrisy and ignorance whoever it is. This is not true of all Christians or Muslims or any other group.

it is the whole circle thing,, you know what goes around comes around.

i respect people and treat people just as they respect and treat others.

your religion as a whole does not have a very good track record of respect and good treatment to people of other cultures.. so i do not feel obligated to treat the vast majority of your religion with respect or good intentions.

i still take people on a case by case basis, but that is only when dealing with an individual. put that individual into a group of his peers and he simply becomes one of "them".

Atheists have too much time on their hands. Life can get really dismal and empty when one lacks purpose. So they need to take their frustrations out on something or someone.....
