TV Preachers have been busted and reappear, Jim Baker, Rev. Tilden, etc. They are never Buddhist, Jewish, or dominations outside the pentacostal types that believe in annointings or faith healings. Is there a particular reason for that? And after getting fleeced once why do they get suckered again???? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_televangelist_scandals

This "Man of the Cloth" ripped of his sheep then worked out a deal after getting a confession from a prison inmate, spilled the beans on him and got his time cut to time served. He ripped off his flock and this prisoner seeking spiritual advice. http://www.cnn.com/2007/LAW/02/13/church.stolen.ap/index.html

There are cons in every religion. 20/20 quit a few years back exposed Hindu faith healers, Islamic pyramid schemes, and Jewish fortune tellers. Where ever there is faith there is corruption.

Now why anyone would ever send a dime to a TV preacher just blows my mind.

YES!! You don't know how serious I am but that's the difference. Some of them don't even have a TV. I am on a close branch though so I do know them. They get suckered again because they are still the type to fall for that kind of isolation and being dominated. @80) rub my tummy.

I still believe Jim Baker did not receive justice in our courts - he was set up and crucified unjustly. I don't know Rev. Tilden. But I do know that anywhere there is the power of God you will have the false and satan fighting the real. That doesn't negate the real, it just means we have to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. I have never been "fleeced" as you call it - when I give, I give to GOD not man. I try to be wise in my giving and know the ministries I sow into, but still it is to God. God receives it as unto Himself and rewards me for it. If "man" abuses the money received then God deals with them. It is not about being "conned" it is about going where God's anointing and power is being manifested.

Their history, guidance and mentioned ideals are the traditional form of vetting. Any self proclaimed evangelist, like Marjoe must be appeared at with a jaded eye. by ability of ways, Marjoe replaced right into a California phenomenon, no longer Southern. He later toured everywhere in the US.

It is as if they do not have discernment.
