last year i was seeing a guy but because we lived too far away we didn't have time to see each other and i have a job aswell. but at a recent party i saw him. and he asked for another chance, he was really sweet, we sat and talked for hours and he said he was sorry for everything he did even though he was a bit tipsy. his friends said he never stopped liking me. i still like him but don't really have anything to talk about in person. on the computer and texting is ok jsut in person. another chance?

also i forgot to say he is really shy when he's sober. he said he had more confidence telling me all this because he had had a drink.

i'd advise against it off of my own experience, but it sounds like this round two might be genuine. He was a little drunk, I've said some strange things when drinking, but then again ive been really insiteful too. Sometimes it takes a little change to open. Maybe he changed. Don't worry what you have to talk about. If you two are actually interested in one another then you will find things to talk about.

NO!!!! when guys ask for another chance it means something is up. Most of the time they just want to use you. If he was tipsy than you don't really know what he really thinks.

I'd definitely give him another chance, he sounds nice and you like him. And you must have something to talk about with him in person, otherwise you wouldn't have been able to talk with him for hours at the party. Anyway, the better you get to know him the more you'll have in common to talk about.

What kind of a chance is possible when you have nothing to talk about in person?

If you want to keep talking to him - who knows, maybe you'll even find things to talk about face to face - go ahead and text/im, but don't tie yourself to some guy you can't even chat with over a cup of coffee. Make it clear you're talking, but not "involved" in any exclusive way.

if you're available, i dont see why not just know that it take lots of maturity and patience if you're into a long-distance relationship. there are also things to consider like trust and plans of moving closer together because you cannot spend the rest of your days living apart... before you start on this relationship, ask him and yourself if you are ready with this kind of set-up, LDR is not as different as a normal relationship---it always takes two to tango.

If he's dullsville in person then why bother? Do you plan on having a dinner date by text message? I doubt it. Ditch the guy. Besides there's a reasin it didn't work out. DNR DO NOT RESESITATE!
