Guys love it when you give them attention.... at least most of them. Also, when they play hard to get, it means they probably like you. They are like...lets say Blow pops. On the outside they have a hard outer layer but once youbite through that hard outer shell they are soft and gooey. Guys don't like it when you text message them like every ten minutes. Then they think you are a stalker.

From a guys perspective, I would say slow down. What's the rush? I would be flattered if a girl asked my friend for my number and wanted to talk to me, but guys usually like doing the pursuing, and a bit of a challenge. I think the best thing you can do is show you're interested, and you did by getting his number which in itself shows you have a lot of guts and guys like that, but now I think you should let him take over. Don't be too easy to get, nor impossible to get, but playing a little hard to get always interests a guy.

Probably just not in to you. I wouldn't end up texting or calling him anymore and just talk to him the next time you see him, then you should be able to get more of a reading. If you text or call too much it can get kinda annoying and stalkerish, which annoys the hell out of me personally. -- oh, and the guy always calls the girl in my opinion if he's really interested, so if he has your # now, I would bank on that instead of the constant contact from your end.

It's not merely scaring him away, but the fact that you asked him what he wants for his birthday is foul knowing that you barely know each other. If you really like someone, dont push yourself too much to him. The more you do that, the more that guy would go away. The best thing you could do now is research for what he wants, what he's fond of and try to do it. But dont make him feel that you're doing it for him, make him see that your doing it coz you enjoy it. Adn as for what he wants, maybe you could try giving it to him secretly, like you're a secret admirer or some stuff.

Yes, you are looking a little too desperate. I understand that you like him, but if he likes you back he should call you! Don't you want to be with someone who feels the same way? Do you even know him to buy him something for his birthday? Hmmm...don't do it unless you actually know that person! Save your money on better things! Remember if a guy likes you he will make the first move!

dont use txt messages, you need to speak with him in person, once you know if there is an attraction there then txt is more appropriate, When you txt you do so in the dark, you are not getting any body language feedback as you would in a conversation, therefore you are liable to ask something inappropriate.

aw, well i think it would`ve been a whole lot better to have gotten his number from him. & not from HIS friend. it`s just how boys are. it kinda scares `em ..but yeah, leave him alone for now. if he likess you, he might give you a call or somethin. but just so you don`t end up hurt, watch out & keep your eyes out for another guy.

If he hasn't replied it means he's not interested. And if he was interested he would have asked for your number and he'd be calling you EVERYDAY!

yeah, sounds like you don't have the kind of close relationship where he would expect a gift from you. maybe instead you could give him a card just to let him know you like him.
