Did you clean the ceiling with TSP before painting? If not most likely there was a foreign substance (ie: grease, nicotine, oil based paint). TSP cleans the surface and provides good adhesion for the new paint.

Your roller nap is not the correct length (use 3/8's) you could be rolling TOO fast or to much in one area or is the paint your using old. Has the area your painting been primed this could also cause it and also being too hot, I don't know where your located. Other answers like a film of cleaning solutions that wasn't rinsed well, shook the paint too much and might be moisture . Good luck Les the painter

Not enough details, but when you paint the ceiling it makes the ceiling wet and could cause a buuble, especially on a popcorn type of texture.

moisture was trapped between the paint and the drywall. How it got there is a good question, and one you'll have to figure out.
