No catch. They get commission for selling tickets. Part of that commission they use towards discounts.

most don't have catches.. they get commission for the tickets they sell, and are then able to sell those tickets for a discount..

but WATCH OUT!! some do have catches, the catch for some [not many, but a few] is that the ticket you are buying is a standby ticket.. so if the plane is full, even though you have a ticket, its standby and you won't be able to get on that plane, you'd have to wait for another.. so make sure you always skim through the "terms and condition".

The best thing is to buy the plane ticket one or two months ahead, there is when you get a great deal.
