Hi, I've been using it for a while and its only now I've wanted to know whether it actually does anything or if I'm using the right settings. I've got a patch for the 5.01 version but can't remember where i got it from, I'll set up a torrent if you want it. there's loads of patches on the Internet or just download another torrent which will include the installer as well although they all seem to be earlier versions.

Whilst searching I've found that everybody seems to be confusing Bt Engine with a Bit Torrent downloader - its not, it merely runs in the background alongside your usual bittorrent software, whatever it may be, and increases the number of connections and hence the speeds.

The program itself is not malicious and doesn't include any spyware etc - it is a genuine program. I'm gonna use a well seeded torrent now and test the speeds with and without BT Engine.

Let me know how you get on and I'll report back on my findings

***Ive found a torrent which includes a crack which also works on the new version of BT Engine - so install the demo and use the crack from the torrent. http://www.torrentspy.com/download.asp?id=1030610

Just use any bt client and open up ports 6881 to 6899 on your firewall. This will allow lots of peers to connect to you and you'll be in sharing heaven!
