I can only use 1 at a time, and have seen conflicting info.
Obvioulsy I can install Vista on many machines, however I would have to pay for a licence for each.
I believe if you buy a full version, you can install on a laptop and desktop.
In practise, how is this done?

You would have to buy 2 separate copies of Vista.

each copy is licensed to be installed on 1 computer.
