Believing that money brings happiness is not right. But, to believe that the lack of money brings happiness is just as much a fallacy as the other one. Money should not be a basis for happiness, and the lack of money shouldn't be it either. There are cults that tell people that in order to be happy they must sell all their possessions. That thinking is false.

The main point, in my opinion, is to realize that you can be happy or sad no matter what amount of money you have. The state of your mind being either happy or depressed shouldn't be based on things that do not last or people that can let you down.

Yes. My parents were very poor in the Philippines. They are thankful for everything they have. They don't take anything for granted. Now they are very successful here in America. They still haven't lost there strong principles about life and the stuff we have.

Yeah absolutely. Money doesnt guarantee happiness and the lack thereof doesnt have the monopoly on depression either

I'm poor and I have to share a room with 2 of my sisters but I'm very happy because I have my savior Jesus Christ.

all the "happy" rich kids out there (you see them in the papers) testify that money does not necessarily equal happiness.
