I have the Maxius MaxiGlide Hair Straightener! It works really good on all types of hair textures! It has a steamer on it and a heat control knob. This to me is the best flat iron ever! All my friends come over to use it b/c it works so good!! LOL

I purchased mine off QVC but I found it also at Linen N Things for $79.99!

Good Luck

Go to any decent hair supply store and get the old fashioned straightening combs designed for the hair oven. (Back in the day, we used it on the stove.) Invest in the iron and stove and it will last you a lifetime. I no longer use either, but I give my daughter a light press from time to time. I control the heat and the press is much better! The comb I have is relatively new, but the stove was my mother's, so it must be over 20 yeas old.

Flat irons do not work as well as combs on very tight, short or natural hair. For that, you need to get very close to the scalp and no flat iron gets as close as a comb.

Get it at ur local salon, or at a beauty supply store...they are kind of pricey ($125 or more), But TOTALLY worth it!!

You can get a Chi at Ulta or ask your salonist (if you guys have a semi friend like relationship) if she can get one for you. The best ones out there can only be purchased if you have your cosmetology license, i gave my lady $150 and she got me one..... Nothing compares to it. It is the best.

Try a wet to dry straightener, which dries and straightens hair all at once. It makes your hair much shinier than a normal straightener and it will have much more heat.
