Not sure if this is even possible, but I remember hearing about it somewhere.
Okay, say I have an apple tree. I cut off a branch, and stick an orange tree branch on there. Than I cut off another branch and put a grapefruit branch on there. Will the apple tree with the orange and grapefruit branches all grow with their respective fruits? Is there a name for doing this if it is even real?

It is called something like, "butting" or "budding". Ya, I just got it... it's "bud trees". Widely used by Japanese... You take a branch from one species then cut a hole/small cut, in the other and insert it.

It is a form of grafting. Find a grafting book if you want more detail than that.

I've definitely seen it done, personally. I couldn't give you a name though. Sorry
