I wanted to find the right God, so I just started praying four years ago for God to reveal himself to me, whoever he was. I wanted the real God - the creator of the universe - the God of love and truth!

Well, I get on my knees every night before bed and sincerely pray for God to show me himself (however he chooses to do it) I've done this for four years! After I pray, it is my habit to sit for twenty or thirty minutes and just listen.

I pray first thing in the morning also, while I'm getting ready for work. I got nothing at all, really, except for this deep peace that I was a human and that everything was going to be alright.

I felt an increasing connection to all life and to the world. But no specifics about who or what God is!? Just a feeling that God is all around me. I am not trying to pick a religion, only trying to find the true God.

People are always trying to give me proofs for their religions: Muslims – history, name of God is miraculously everywhere.

The Christians say that Jesus’ is alive and his tomb is empty and visions of the virgin Mary, etc. But it is impossible to come to God using evidence, I have decided. It would take a lifetime to sort through all the evidences and proofs from all the different claims of religion! I’m just not that smart.

I have developed a moral sense on my own, using my own judgment and I do not believe it is right to harm anyone in any way, I love people and animals. I have a simple life and I am compelled to help people and be kind. I do not drink or smoke and I value humility. I believe in love.

When I pray, I have faith, believing that God will answer.

So two years ago, I read through the Bible, and was somewhat compelled, but something just wasn't jiving with my soul, so I read the Koran- same thing! I have also read the Book of Mormon and some Watchtower literature.

I read the Bhagavad Gita and it stirred me, and felt more like a philosophy that I could relate to than a God-focused religion.

Funny, I feel strangely and intimately close to a God I could never define or describe!

God feels more and more like just life itself!

Well first know there is a God. And know that we ARE spiritual beings, meaning, that we are spirits with souls and bodies. And know that God is spirit and His son was incarnated on earth He died for everyones sins rose from the grave in three days, went to Heaven and will come again someday.

Interesting. I must say at the outset that I do believe the Bible to be the word of God and the principal means by which God reveals himself. Although you mention having read it, you do not say that you actually STUDIED it. Your prayerful attitude towards finding God is admirable and a good start. I think that God has already answered your prayers, just not in the way that you expect. What are listening for in those 20 to 30 minutes? A voice? This will not happen. And your answer may not come in your allotted 20 to 30 minutes but in God's due time. Be aware that your answer may come at any time, in fact it may have already come and you missed it because you were looking and waiting for it in the wrong place and time. Not to worry, though. Keep praying. God does not hide from us. In fact the Bible says ...to seek God, if they might grope for him and really find him, although, in fact, he is not far off from each one of us. -Acts 17:26

This is an issue of faith. You are asking God to reveal himself before you will actually believe in Him with your whole heart. It doesn't work that way really. He asks that you have faith in Him and believe in Him without having to have hard evidence.

Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Read the whole chapter) The more time you spend in Bible study (not just reading it day after day like a book), the more God will reveal to you.

I started praying to God to reveal Himself to me at the age of 16 and not until the age of 24 did He show me Who He was through Jesus Christ. I asked to know the One True God, the Creator of this Universe and the One Who gave me life. I have no doubt He is the " I AM" of the Bible. Just have faith and expect Him to answer you. He will!

Only by undivided devotional service can He be understood and can thus be seen directly. Only in this way can one enter into the mysteries of His understanding.

As all surrender unto Me, I reward them accordingly. Everyone follows My path in all respects, O son of Prithä.

Everyone is searching for Krishna in the different aspects of His manifestations. Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is partially realized in His impersonal brahmajyoti effulgence and as the all-pervading Supersoul dwelling within everything, including the particles of atoms. But Krishna is fully realized only by His pure devotees. Consequently, Krishna is the object of everyone's realization, and thus anyone and everyone is satisfied according to one's desire to have Him.

For one who always remembers Me without deviation, I am easy to obtain, O son of Prithä, because of his constant engagement in devotional service.
PURPORT
This verse especially describes the final destination attained by the unalloyed devotees who serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead in bhakti-yoga.

All of the monotheistic religions are but different paths to God.

God isn't hiding from you. Look inside your heart and you will find God. Turn away from God and you will never know him.

Isayah 59:1-3, 6-8, 12-15—
1 Behold, Yahweh's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.
2 But your own iniquities have separated you from your Father; and your own sins have caused Him to hide His face from you, so He will not listen.
3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; sin. Your lips have spoken lies, your tongue has muttered perverseness.
6 Their webs will not serve as clothing, nor will they cover themselves with what they make; their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
8 They do not know the way of peace, and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made themselves crooked paths; whoever walks on them will not know peace.
12 For our transgressions are multiplied before You, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them__
13 In transgressing and lying against Yahweh, and turning away from following our Father, speaking oppression and rebellion, conceiving and uttering from the mind words of falsehood:
14 So judgment is driven backwards, and justice stands afar off, for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
15 Yes, truth; the Law, is suppressed; and he who departs from evil; upholds the Law, is accounted as mad; makes himself a prey! Yahweh saw this, and He saw the evil that there was no justice in the last days. The Savior also pleads with you to repent of breaking Yahweh's Laws, saying that if you do not you will perish.
