if we are the most intelligent animals on this planet why do we keep trying to destroy each other?

Question

i wonder why we consider our selves the most intelligent species on the earth yet all we do is find bigger and better ways to kill each other.
the only thing i can think of is that other species of life has had the chance to evolve and they realised the concequences of doin this.
we on the other hand have decided to try to become more civalised and now we are destroying ourselves....has anyone else thoght thoughts like these?

it all boils down to money and religion. Money no one ever has enough when there are those without a penny and sleeping on the streets. Religion well if you strip back to basics all religion we all believe in the same thing. We just have different ways of worship and different ideas on who god is what he as done and were he as been/not been and what he looks like. Take away money and religion the world would be a better place.

we consider ourselves more intelligent than other species merely because we are. You could fill pages and pages with the names of animals capable of killing or out surviving humans, yet we have prospered and dominated without competetive, i do not believe other animals have had the 'intelligence' to contenplate evolution,
we are tryin to destroy each other because those who seek to control us tell us to. the majority of war throughout history has come as a result of religion, fearful that worshipers (money) would be drawn away from thier own religions they call for a crusade or jiad and name people with other views heretics to be outcast and burnt just incase thier ideas are more appealing than thiers, religion with the exception of budhism claims that it is peace loving yet it is responsable for more death and war than any other thing.

Because some of us aren't too bright, it's only the fact that we can talk that puts us on top of the tree, a lot of us have got about the same intelligance as pond life.

many years ago I had two friends: one a University graduate, the other had just basic education.

In primates aggressiveness tends to correlate with intelligence. Chimpanzees are also pretty aggressive and pretty intelligent. Gorillas are less intelligent and less aggressive.
