Obviously if your asking you want some advice and not just a yes go ahead so I say take it slow. First become friends with him talk to him and find out his intrests. When you have become more confident in your standing with him start to get in good with his friends and ask them subtley how he feels about you. Sooner or later it will become pretty clear if he likes you or not.
Some hints to tell if a guy is interested:
-When you lean in towards him he stays put and does not lean backwards.
-When sitting in a group setting his body or hand motions tend to point to you.
-He sneaks looks at you.
