Mormons believe that the living can save the dead from Hell so they can go to Heaven

I don't think that how another person judges where someone will rest eternally is a reflection on whether or not they are a Christian. I do not believe that because someone is not a Christian they are automatically doomed. I do believe that is a judgment that is ultimately left up to God and I have no place in it. I don't even have a place in making an opinion about another person's heart. There are many liberal Christians and Gnostic Christians that do believe there are other paths to Christ. I do not consider them any less of a Christian. Now, granted, some people will. But, again, the relationship that someone has with Christ is really only between that person and Christ. I absolutely think that there are Christians that believe there are other paths and they are NO less a Christian then the fundamentalist, evangelical Christians that are out there.

When I think of heaven, I can't imagine a separate room for each religion. If there is a God, he created everyone. The Catholic church really brainwashed so many people. Christians do not have the only path to God. I think that road is open to anyone who chooses it. What true Christian would want anyone burn in hell if it did exist? When I went to a Christian church several years ago, the pastor posted a thing up on the wall and asked all of us to sign it saying we were against anyone having an abortion. Well I wouldn't sign it because even though, it's not something I wouldn't want for myself, I didn't want to judge the person who was being confronted with the idea. I openly said that if my daughter was raped and she chose an abortion, I would support her. Stick with your higher self and what you believe. Most Christians are not honest in church but outside are totally different when it comes to the truth.

I believe the answer is YES

#1) G-d's word is forever. Therefore, the covenant with the Jews is STILL in tact.

#2) G-d has revealed himself through nature to many tribal peoples. Their belief can save them.

#3) Many who at one time or another confess belief in Yeshua have a Bible right to be saved under John 3:16. These people may not be Christians or may have never stepped into a church. I think His mercy is greater than we think.

G-d wants people IN...its men who always says people are going to be kept OUT at the drop of a hat.

Blessings

I think the bible says that there is no way to be saved from our sins except by God's Son Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can take away our sins and give us a relationship with God for eternity.

It depends on what you mean by a "christian"

There are some people who claim they are christian but don't believe in the bible or that what God says is true. Some Christians add on to the scriptures or try to alter its meaning. I suppose anyone in the 21st century can claim to be anything they want to but it doesn't mean they are genuine.

If you are a Christian, by definition you believe that you are a sinner and incapable of saving yourself. You believe that God loved you and ent His Son to die for your Sins. You believe that Christ rose again. You believe that you cannot get to heaven or be right with God on your own, by your own works. You believe that the only way to heaven is by accepting the gift of grace given to you- you believe that Christ paid for your sins by His death, and overcome death by His ressurection.

If this is what you believe, you can't believe that there is any other way to be right with God. If you say there is more than one way to heaven, you say that Christ was not needed. This would make you NOT a Christian.

Christ did die for you. Have you accepted this gift?

Actually, I know many christians who believe that very thing. Don't let another christian tell you how to believe in your god. A close friend of mine tells me that when I die, I will be surprised when I find out there is a god. And, she tells me I will also be allowed into heaven.

Her reasoning is somewhat logical. She believes god is truly a god of love. She believes he created me an atheist as a tool to fuel the fires of believers.(something like that). Anyway, she says I, and other people of differing religions, were created by him for some reason. And, being a "loving god" he would not condemn one of his creations, who followed the "destiny" he had placed me here to fulfill, to hell/ eternal damnation. I don't know, it is interesting to hear her views on religion. She is one who feels that the messages handed down by the various churches are way off the mark of what jesus intended his church to be.

Of course, I don't believe any of that. But, I do think her version would make a lot more sense than the one you see people spewing out everywhere.

There are 2 doctrines: Salvation of the Righteous Heathens (once you're a good guy you're making it to heaven in spite of faith) and Universalism (salvation is rather a unfastened present, AND an entire fee, so no-one is going to hell) i don't have staistics, yet maximum christians the place I stay take place to have faith interior the 1st.

Mat 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Elisha Moses and Jesus stood together on the mountain of transfiguration. They are most certainly in Heaven.

They are Jews my brother.
The Jews are the elect. We are adopted into the kingdom of GOD through Jesus finished work on the cross. I have a feeling you and I will be shocked at who is in Heaven and really shocked at who is not.

Grace and Peace to you.

Yes and no.

Yes: what we call the "OT saints," Jews who died in full faith of God prior to the time of Jesus are in Heaven right now. Gentiles who believed in God and followed the Noahide Laws (including the prohibition against idolatry) prior to the time of Christ are also in Heaven. Anyone who follows the laws applicable to him or her (Noahide, Mosaic, etc.) and has HONESTLY never heard the Gospel is in Heaven. (Refusal to hear the Gospel doesn't count.) Paul speaks about this concept in Acts (let me know if you want more info.)

No: anyone (Jew or Gentile) who heard the Gospel and rejected it cannot enter into Heaven if they die in unbelief.

John Hick is a Christian who believes that others can go to heaven. He is a good philosopher and describes many ways that a Christian may embrace religious pluralism while being true to their Christian commitments.
