I truly do not understand all the controversy. Evolution is a basic fact of life . I don't care if it's biological, stellar or mechanical it always follows the same pattern.
* After much trial & error the initial primitive idea finally works
* There then follows a mathmatical explosion of variations on theme to discover what works best for the given environment
* A standard base form is reached and all models that follow will reflect that form
* Lastly the most simple and elegant solution to the problem manifests itself and there is no need for further change.
Sharks and airplanes follow the exact same pattern
The presence of a god - your term- does not contibute in any way to the solution . All God does is add another [ I think needless] layer of complexity to the problem and changes the location by an undetermined amount of light years. The problem remains the same.
Even if there is a God and he/she/it did make the universe , He/She/It had to EVOLVE from a simpler form , there simply no getting around that reality.
Evolution goes
Simple .> comlplex > elegantly simple
BTW The book 2001 A Space Odyssey basically puts forth your idea. If you have neither read the book nor seen the movie read the book first or because the movie can be a wee bit ambiguous at time

1st Point there were probably other life form on other plants but just like the dinosaurs the humans will all die off technology isn't all that good. with in the next 200 years all homosapiens Will die and only the simplest of life for will be left. And evolution will start all over again as the conditions on our planet see fit. So the answer to your question is There is no superior being or god . WE are the superior being the most evolved humans. God is a myth made up so that people will continue to live there life in a proper Manner . And not contemplate the inevitable. Are Life Are Meaningless.

Yes. Given the amount of galaxies in the universe, there should be trillions and trillions of galaxies like ours. And given all those there should be billions and billions of planets like ours. And given all those planets, there is a good chance that some have life as well.
But since the Big Bang only happened like 14 billion years ago, life obviously can't be older then that. Yes, time and space are older, but the Big Bang isn't. But eventually the universe will collapse and start over again. I think the first like on earth was around 5 billion years ago. So life on other planets could be older then us. But there some limitations of the universe. For example, we don't know if the speed of light is the speed limit to the universe. And we have no idea how one would travel even close to this speed. So maybe simple physics means we won't be able to reach most of this life. And there is also a chance we are the oldest life within reach.
And after all this study and findings by scientists, they've never found any type of evidence for God. Which is why I don't believe in one. If there was a scientific evidence, they I would. Just like there is no scientific evidence that a fairy controls my TV.

There's a vast gulf between superior to humanity and being a deity.
Sure, some animals are superior to humans in certain aspects.
Fleas can jump better, relatively
Fish can swim underwater better than us
Cats have better balance
But does that mean they're god? No.
So why does a superior alien being suddenly become god?
Lastly, how do you know we're not the most advanced species in the universe? Assuming there is life on other planets, and there is a heirachy of more/less superior, someone has to be at the top. Why not humanity?

BooYa...good, we are debating a 15-yr-old. Evolution said nothing about there being or not being a god...and there must be life on other planets, there are countless stars most with a system of planets, makes more sense that there is than that there isn't. We are learning the origins of our presently existing universe. If it is cyclical and continues to wax and wane, then there have been many universes and many evolutions before and will be many after. No go read something, preferably something without the word BOO YA in it!

sparky,
point one is accepted. There is a high probability of life out there, if not now, then in the past or in the future (we are 13.7 billion years down the road since the start, yes?)
point two: "If the past is undefined in its birth" doesn't make sense. I get your point though. Could there have been life before us, and godlike (to us) in its evolutionary stage? This universe is 13.7 billions of years old or so. We can be either ahead of the curve, on the curve, or behind the curve.
Even if we assume we've behind the curve there is no guarantuee that all life evolves towards self-awareness, rationality and higher consciousness (I could argue we're not two out of those three but whatever). Additionally, the distances we are talking about are VAST. Not just from here to tokio vast, that's like a thought of a fart in comparison.
I also do not think that evolution, even if it leads to higher forms of life, would lead to god-like beings.

> other life forms out there on other planets which adapted to there eviroments
Likely.
> other species must of evolved a long period of time before us
Likely. So, where are they? That's Fermi's Paradox.
> a being out there with superior powers
A sufficiently advanced technology will be indistinguishable from magic -- Arthur C. Clarke
Not sure what you're "boo ya"ing about.

Part 1: It's possible but not necessarily true. The correct chemical conditions have to be in place for bacteria to exist. The correct environment is needed for this to evolve further
Point 2: Time in this universe began with the big bang. But yes, this is also possible (on other planets)
Part 3: Given part 1 and 2 its entirely possible that aliens exist that are superior to us. This would not give them god-like credentials as they would not be older than the universe or around forever. They would have evolved like you and I and have lifespans consistent with their biological make-up.

Learn how to spell and use proper grammar. THEN maybe (and ONLY maybe) will you be able to possibly form a coherant argument...
A superior being such as God exists outside of nature. A superior being that has evolved is a complete possiblity, although it is doubtful we shall ever meet one. But even this more advanced being wouldnt be a God - he would be another living being...
Terrible argument.

Point 1 is an unfounded axiom. Point 2 has nothing to do with your conclusion and is an unfounded axiom, time does not necessarily go back for an undefined period.
Therefore, based on your points, we do not arrive at your conclusion. And even if it did, why must the end of the line by one step above us? Why mustn't there be a superior being to god, and one above that, and above that ad infinitum.
