I'm from Jamaica, and a new embassy has just been built here, I notice that persons who are applying for visa have to stand outside the embassy on the side walk in the hot, boiling sun, I think its rather unfair since there is a big compound which can accomodate the applicants.
Why does the US embassy do this??

They have an appointment system here too, but the system is not working well, so there are still long lines outside.
I understand the concern with security, but the new office building was opened about 2 months ago, they should have built a shaded area outside with seats instaed of allowing applicants to suffer in the hot sun, all because they want to go to the US.
Thats not fair, now I understand y so many countries have issues with them cuz they expect ppl to take their $hit all the time
