it does say that woman will never be equal to man, i believe that. we will never earn as much money, we'll always be the subordinate, etc. it's part of the curse he put on women for eve eating the apple and giving it to Adam.

I think the line is something about Eve being a helpmeet to Adam... implying not so much a "servant" as a "partner."

Of course, you must consider the author/editors... all men and highly invested in making women submissive.

Besides, what the Bible *says* is different from the rules people have created from it.

This is what it says:
1 Peter 3
Wives and Husbands
1Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, 2when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. 3Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. 4Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. 5For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands, 6like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her master. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.
7Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

This in no way was ever to be interpreted as women being slaves to their husbands. It's about respect and honor. It's a beautiful part of the Bible I think.

We were created to be a husband's help meet, its in Genesis, Chapt 2. I don't have a problem with being a help meet, if more women did what God has commanded us, then the feminist liberals would have no members.

A helpmate is someone who helps, not someone who takes over all the responsibilities. If men were doing their jobs, women wouldn't have to be working outside the home and bearing children and raising them and cleaning and doing laundry. It's these male chauvinists that cause women to turn to lesbianism.

In Genesis, woman was created to be a helpmate.

Lesbians though, certainly intrigue alot of heterosexual men. It seems they are more of a turn-on than straight women for some.

Something about the woman being pleasing to the man or some crap like that.... I'm a male feminist. Oh Oh...now I remember she's supposed to be his "help mate".

Unless you've read it for yourself, don't believe it. I'm glad you are not like many atheists who claim to have thoroughly studied the Bible and know what it says.

No it isn't in the Bible, although there have been plenty of men and women who have behaved as if.
