im 16 and my boyfriend is 17... same problem here.. even though we've been dating for almost 2 years... it wont change beccause mothers are always trying to protect us. they dont want us being hurt or having problems (or ending up pregnant) at a young age. i mean we think our parents arent smart.. but they really know that some of the times you are alone with your boyfriend its to have sex... atleast in their house they can keep some kind of eye on you so you aren't having sex... it wont change.. my mother loves my boyfriend and everything but that doesnt change the fact that there are still possibilities that something could go wrong.. sometimes we think we know someone and in reality, we dont. so be understanding with your mother... good luck.

It is a big deal because you are a girl. You're the one who winds up pregnant, not him. You're the one who has to live with your mom for the rest of your life, not him. That's why it's a big deal. And if she trusts him and likes him, then he should go to your house. He is considered an adult whether, or not both of you want to accept that and in your mother's eyes, you're still a child, even at 16 and she doesn't want you making too many adult decisions and growing up too fast.

Because she cares about you and knows that sometimes being together with your boyfriend can lead to sex when things get out of control. He's 18 and an adult...you're still underage. He could go to prison if you were to have sex or get pregnant. So your mom is protecting him as well as you. She's a good mom

your a hip thrust away from being a non-virgin, and no matter how nice of a guy your dating, as a "nice guy"myself, i will still tell u that when going out with a girl, especially at your guy's age, i was looking to get the 'vag', more than getting into a good heartfelt conversation...so just listen to your mom and keep your legs closed and you'll be just fine...

you're 16 that's what the big deal is, just try to understand that you're parents want to protect you and make sure you are safe, later down the road you'll understand it in a different light trust me.

She is saving your life. She is saving you from being dishonored by having premarital sex.

Be thankful that you have a mom who will do what she needs to do to guard you and your sexual purity.

You are way too young for a serious relation, this might be the issue.

Because he is technically an adult. And so things could go wrong..not in your favor. Also, it's illegal.
