I'm looking for a way to install a mac formatted (with files) hard drive (ide) into a PC. I have seen a few programs out there that claim to do it, but I'm hoping for a freeware solution. I literally need about 30min with the hard drive then I'm done with it, I don't want to have to buy a program just for that.

Any help?

Pc's and Macs can play very nicely now take a look at apples switcher ads :-)

Anyway, try Macdrive by Mediafour http://www.mediafour.com/

They have a 5 days trial which should give you long enough to get the files you need.

However, you could always just buy a Mac :-)

I don't know about the third party software, but alone, Windows can not read Mac formatted drives. On the other hand, Macs can read Windows formatted drives. Macs can read NTFS formatted disks and read/write FAT32 and 16 disks.
