....community as belonging to Jesus would this have any affect on your faith?

P.S. I should probably clairfy that it would have no affect on my faith because I believe its impossible to prove and I'll take the Word of God (the Bible) over the word of scientist any day

No, this is just one more trick of satan to fool the world into following what ever path he lays down and it sames there are many that are following this path. As for me a mine we will just keep following Jesus and watching for His return. P.S. I'm not looking for the bones I'm watch for the Body

No affect whatsoever. It would just prove to me that scientist DON'T know as much as they think they do. It could be Jesus's tomb because He was placed in a borrowed tomb, but He ascended into heaven and this was witnessed by many, so the bones can't be His.
Beside, if the scientific community can generally accept that the bones are Jesus's why is it wrong when the Christian community generally accept that there is no way they can belong to Jesus?

How could they prove that the bones belonged to THE Jesus? Do they have a sample of His DNA?

Finding a tomb that belonged to a Jesus is about the same as finding a tomb with the name John Smith.

No, it would have NO effect on my faith, because Jesus's tomb was already found. Or at least, it's what is BELIEVED to be Jesus's tomb. It's the same place that the FIRST Christian pilgrims gathered, and the place that they thought Jesus had been buried.

Hadrian, who became Roman emperor in about 114 AD, built a pagan temple over it. Constantine's mother Helena then built a church over the ruins of the pagan temple.
Archaeologists found the ruins of both buildings at the site.

Just so this is glaringly obvious, the only reason this would prove ANYTHING at all is because of the fact that only eighty years passed between the time that Christianity began, and the time Hadrian became emperor.

Whether or not that actually IS Jesus's tomb (the one I'm talking about), early Christians believed it was, and many of them spoke personally with Jesus's disciples.

I believe them.

Yes, it would but I'm not sure how yet. I do want to know though. I don't stick my head in the sand. Organized religion has and will lie to it's followers. I think it's a big undertow for all Christians and will pull some away from the faith. I don't know how I will feel. I guess I will turn on the Bible, which I have almost done anyway. My faith in God can never die because I know something. @80) Peace.

Come on, dude, it's a hoax. A fake. A whole lotta malarkey. Know why? Well, go read your Bible. It says that when Jesus was resurrected and then taken up into Heaven, he was taken BODY and SOUL - so there ARE no bones of His left for us to fuss over! There - feel better now?

actually, they found the bones of a man named joshua. but, if the name had been jesus, remember that jesus was one of if not the most common name back then.

and no, it has no effect on my faith (but it does give me a desire to prove it wrong) because jesus rose again and ascended into heaven - so there flat out are no bones.

The whole point of faith is to believe without the need of proof.

So bats are birds, the Earth is flat and at the center of the universe and we kill anyone who disagrees.

Peace brothers...

Cut it with the "Jesus tomb" bullshit. The very fact that people bring it up is a mockery to anyone who believes in Jesus.

Seriously, it was locked away for 20 years for a reason (its insignificant!!)

No because I do not accept everything the scientific community declares as truth. They are often wrong and it is not unusual for them to declare a truth only to come back a few years later and say, "Oops, we made a mistake."
