It's pretty boring and lame to some, but this is really what I would wish for:
1. World peace (no war, for everyone to understand or at least accept each other)
2. No hunger (so no one will ever go hungry again or worry about where their next meal will come from)
3. No homelessness (so everyone has a roof over their head)

1) A cure for diabetes. I am a diabetic, and several members of my family are also diabetic. I know how horrible it can get once it really develops. People who do not know someone with the disease don't really realize how awful it can be.
2) Money. I would want enough money to get myself and my parents out of debt as well as put away enough for a college fund for my future children. The rest I would want to use to start a mission center for an after-school program for at-risk children.
3) Empathy for all of humanity. Sometimes people do not realize how much another person is hurting. I think we would be able to understand one another better and get along better in general if we were more empathetic and were able to see and feel how another person is truly feeling inside. It would make for a more peaceful world because it would promote understanding.

At that point... wish 2 and wish 3 would be moot.
