1. Satan is not the overseer of hell. He is a future resident.
2. I am not sure what you are getting at
3. A myth is a religious story from ancient religions. A religion is a religion.
4. You must be more specific if you want an answer to this. Obviously christians and muslims are not going to agree on much as we have totally different beliefs
5. This sentence does not make sense
6. By definition miracles are from God and magic is from the devil.
7. No. I believe that God inspired the bible as His revelation to His people.
8. Yes. The metaphor does not need an explanation. Mohammed was knowledgable in Christianity and Judaism when he wrote the Koran and borrowed heavily from them.
9. No.
10. Who knows.

1. No, Satan just likes to torture people and God lets him do this to sinners.

2.A pantheon is not jsut anything that is worshipped, but a certain league of deities. In ancient Greece, Dionysus wans't in the Pantheon, but was still worshipped. I think you are trying to make the point that Christianity is polytheistic, and I have to agree. But Angels are not worshipped.

3. The difference is that mythology is of a living religion. Like you never here the term Hindu mythology even though its stories are similalr to those of Greek mythology. so yeah its political power but also respect.

4. There is only one religion of the bible and that is Christianity. Muslmis believe its is corrupt and JEws only believe in the OT. But if they agreed (Jews, Christians and Muslims) they would not be seperate religions. They cant agree because there is a lot of cultural pride taht ocmes with religion. An Israeli would not convert to Islam in part because s/he is Israeli and Jewdaism is part of Israel.

5.I cant understand what you are talking aobut here. Do you mean the Anglicans? And why do they protest the Chruch? Rephrase.

6.Miracles are only by the power of God. Magic is by man, and in many religions God is preferable over man, because God is perfect. Both are supernatural, but only magic is God. Also many magical practices involve things such as blood-letting, sins in the eyes of many religions.

7.Jesus did but it is lost. I am leaning toward Muhammad, but there is no real way to know for sure. But I do like the Quran more than the Bible, it's more practical.

8.Because they are both from the same source, that is God. The same God who chose Jesus to spread his word was the same God who chose Muhammad, at least in the eyes of Islam.

9. Well to me, Loki msut have been Satan so he probably is laughing his head of right now. I dont know enough about Pan to make a realy judgment but for now I would say the same thing.

10.I think you're serious. I have only asked questionaires like this with a serious intent and I hope you find the truth. nobody wants to read and write all those questions just to make people mad over the internet.

Since you are searching for God, I would suggest you read a lot of hly scriptures, such as the Vedas, The quran and the Guru Granth Sahib (sikh)

Good luck,

1. Yes
2. No
3. no, there is a semantic difference. A myth is a story of particular significance, usually religious. A religion is a structure of belief and worship, frequently with a mythological system of its own.
4.That would mean that there is more than one "right" answer.
5. They rarely actually know their own history so they go with what little they know.
6. Again, that would mean there is more than one "right" answer.

8. Religion for "blockheads"?
9. Yes, they are laughing and I'm sure they had something to do with it.

i think your motivation here is a noble one. there are so many misconceptions that abound in the unenlightened christian.

still, i must say, that any "religion" has been known to have it's questionable ideas and bents. even pagans are known for their widespread disagreement on practices, beliefs and rituals. i think in the end we have just adopted a very buddhist ideal: many paths to the same goal.

i really feel that the enlightened christian, who is aware of how the bible came to be, has studied it immensely and understands the nature of allegory in written text at the time of the writing, may have chosen a wise path for themselves. it is the "literal" interpreters that scare me and the "all or none" attitude of some that make me frustrated.

i think now that we have breached the new milineum, it is time for all people of spirituality to be understanding and acceptant of the many choices one person has to choose from and that we do not have to adhere to any one religion, but can pick and choose what we feel is truth from many.

i think we all share a global consciousness that would improve our state of being as a whole if only the judgement and pious nature of some would end.

Some intellectual masturbation going on or what, dude?

Does this bs really pass as legit "academic" discourse?

Why don't you sit your *** down and actually put some effort into READING the Qur'an before you question it's legitimacy.

And please, do us all a favour and stop "masturbating" in public! You are getting semen all over the place! YUCK!
