Get her a piece of lingerie. Trust me its a gift for him and her. Shes gonna need some anyway for the honeymoon. Or you can get her a wedding photo album with cherished words inside. You know everyone will be taking pictures. I got my best friend this cream colored porcelien picture frame with little designs carved into it but it was all the same color. She loved it and she has it in her living room with her favorite wedding picture in it. You can take her to a spa day before or morning of the wedding to get her refreshed and get rid of nerves. They can also do her nails and makeup. Its little stuff now and days that mean alot to people.

They have to be living someplace, even if it is an apartment! Household items will still be needed, though you can select things that are easier to store away in a small living space.
Think towels and linens, instead of appliances. Really, anything that is easily stored until they get a larger place to live would be a legit gift You might also consider consumable gifts like gourmet chocolates or bottles of wine.
Do not give money or a gift card, as etiquette says those are inappropriate gifts to give a friend.

Hey Tara! My best friend is getting married June 30 and being the matron of honor I am going to throw her a bridal shower! I had the same question BUT I think that I just might have figured out what I am going to do! I am going to go buy her a set of dishes and cups (and probably the tea picture, ect.) that she loves from Belk.. they are a set that I heard her specifically say she adores and her mom didnt think that they would be a good idea to registar for sooooo... I will get them & know that she loves them! :) Good luck!!!

You could get them something that symbolizes you're friendship. Maybe you have an inside joke or something special you did that you can commemorate it. Or instead of getting them a household good, get them a gift certificate to Home Depot or a local home store so that when they do get a house, they have some money to use for furniture or repairs. You can put on the card "For your future dream house" or something cute.

Couple massages. That is the ultimate gift. They can relax together and they will be intune to eachother. If not massages, then you should set them up on a one night stay at their favorite hotel or waterpark resort. If they like to ski, how about to a ski resort. These are just a little off the wall, but thinking of outside of the box!

The appropriate gift would be money. If they are having a nice wedding reception, then for one person I would give $75 or $100. If it is a small affair, then $50 would suffice.

Well, you could get them a gift certificate to their favorite restaurant, or an online GC that can be used in any number of stores.
The amount should be dependent on your budget alone, not what they plan to spend on the wedding.
Good question! Please wish them luck for us.

I think the best gift would be something she really appreciates. Ask her what she had always wanted and buy it for her. DOnt buy her something too expensive or too cheap.

I would get a small gift like lingerie, plus a cash gift towards their future home.

you can make them a collage from some of their pictures. if they've known each other for a long time, that's perfect. you can do like a before and after thing.
hope this helps =]
