Well could mean a couple of things.... one he thinks of your in a "friend sorta way" or perhaps as we all remember from high school... picking on someone means you like them more than in a "friend sorta way". But never fear, men usually will come out with it if he likes you as more than a friend.

I used to pick on a friend that I liked, in a friend sort of way. So, it might be that he likes you.
