well, its actually quite depressing to start COUNTING calories, best advice is to keep up the hard graft and sweat like a pig, keep it up long enough and after a few weeks you'll shed those pounds.

you also have to give up some vices, i.e chocolate.

hi i too need to lose 3 stone, ive lost 16 pounds since the 2-01-07, alls ive done is give up eating bread every day i now have it as a treat i eat a salad every day, this can be mixed with tuna, chicken, cold meats or cheese or anything else, normal breakfast and normal evening meal, i walk my dog for two half hours a day and this is it, you need to lose 42 pounds if you take iy half a stone at a time you will be amazed, it is not a quick process and you need to accept this befor anything else, if you say on average 2 pounds a week then realistically youare looking at 21 weeks whcih is nearly six months, good luck

There is a terrible misconception about exercise and weight. Just think about what happens to Marathon runners. They experience a "crisis" by the 30th-35th Km. The reason for that crisis is a metabolic switch by which they stop consuming Glucose and start burning fat to produce energy.
In other words: It would take you running 30 Km to burn any fat at all!
THE ONLY WAY TO LOOSE WEIGHT IS... DIETING!!!

quite a lot and don't put them on again by not dieting and you must sweat profusely at the gym that's when the fat is rolling off its purely a dedicated attitude and no moving off the track you'll get there and don't forget primarily it is diet and plenty of fruit and veg Good Luck
