Lying is never a good way to deal with things. Asking someone else to lie for you is not a great idea either. Your mother will surely find out and how sad will that be for her and you? An important part of being grown up is that you take responsibility and can be trusted to do what you are asked to do. Your mother probably feels better knowing you are with someone she trusts while she is away. It really hurts when your child lies to you, trust goes out the window and you find that you have to be more vigilant and don't want to let your kids out of your sight, just the opposite of what you want. When you lie you open up a whole new can of worms as you usually have to lie to cover up the lie and then lie because you almost get caught and so on. We were all in a big hurry to grow up, but when you are grown and on your own there will be times you wish you were back with your mom. Don't rush it. Be grown up and be honest with your mom, no matter what you will be glad you did.

Never lie to your mom about what you are doing or where you are, If something happens to you or her you need to be able to reach each other. There is a huge difference than feeling grown up and being grown up. Go to your sister-in-laws, when your mom call you there maybe you can ask her if you could stay one night at home by yourself, just be responsible.

no dont lie to your mom. just tell her what you want.
there is no reason why you should lie for such a silly reason...you gotta be honest with the people who r important to you for relationships are based ontrust and beleif in each other. when you lie, you are creating a false sense of happiness inyopur moms mind that you listened to her. but otherwise, if you take a deeper look at it, a lie can make two people distant. whats the point in maintaining such relationships. tell her what you want talk to her honestly. the best way to solve most problems in relationships is to talk it out with each other. let your mom know of your desire to be independant but at the same time dont give her the impression that you are distancing yourself from your loved ones. i am sure she will understand your needs and even if she does not, i would say do as you want to do.after all it is your life. but when you live your life on your terms just make sure that you dont hurt the people in it. if u decide to stay by yourself then your mom might get upset, but she shall deal with it. but NEVER lie.

Not only should you not lie. You should not expect your sister in-law to lie. It may seem harmless now but what if something happens to you or her while she gone or what if there is a natural disaster like an earthquake or hurricane your mom will not know where to find you.

Whoa so you want your sister in law to lie for you??? uhh no way! do you realize that you are her responsability??If anything happened to you your mom would blame her...
So, also what happens if a pervert realizes your young butt is home alone?? And breaks in to rape you or something worse???? Ever thought of that???
