for example he told me I couldn't do drugs and he tures right around and abuses his meds

You are right-it isn't going to work out and the reason why is that you said that you love him, but that is not possible as you clearly don't love yourself, so how could you possibly love another!

If you feel like something is just not right, then follow your instincts. Get some time off the relationship to clear your mind and see what you really like. Love should be about being there for each other but if things just don´t seem right then take a break.
